A leg-hold trap that ensnared a cat resulting in an amputation of one of its legs was st by a wildlife damage control agent intending to catch a fox. The cat, now named Lucky, was found with its left paw caught in the jaws of the trap. Based on its injuries, a veterinarian concluded that the cat had been dragging the trap for several days.

A woman found a cat caught in a trap and dragging it across a neighbor’s yard. The cat was emaciated and her leg was crushed and infected. The cat had also done damage to her teeth trying to bite herself out of the trap. The animals was taken to a vet and her leg was amputated.

A stray cat, named Will be his rescuers, was found caught in an illegally-placed leghold trap within city limits. Bones in his right leg and foot were crushed, at the time of reporting, amputation was a likely possibility.
