Born Free USA endorses the Prohibiting Threatened and Endangered Creature Trophies Act of 2018 (“ProTECT Act”). Introduced by Congressman Ted Lieu and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the bill would amend the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 1973 to prohibit the taking of any endangered species or threatened species of wildlife or fish in the United States as a trophy and the importation of any such trophy into the United States.
