The Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme (EWCP), whose team is made up of 35 Ethiopian nationals and is supported by the Born Free Foundation, is working to vaccinate Ethiopian wolves against the deadly rabies virus. “Unless we step in and vaccinate, the impact is dire. You lose three out of four wolves in the affected population,” explains Claudio Sillero, conservation biologist and founder of EWCP.
