A new study has found that wild elephants in Kenya can distinguish between human languages, and they can detect whether a voice is that of a man, woman, or boy. The results show that elephants utilize their famed powers of memory to study people and identify potential threats. According to one of the researchers, elephants “have developed this very rich knowledge of the humans that they share their habitat with.”
