Born Free USA signed on to a petition to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), requesting that the agency ban the use of M-44 sodium cyanide capsules in the lower 48 states under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). M-44 cyanide capsules are routinely used by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Wildlife Services to indiscriminately poison and kill tens of thousands of predators.
