“Pet” Wolf Mauls Toddler

A toddler in Dubuque, Iowa was severely injured after her grandmother’s “pet” wolf attacked her. The animal attacked the child after the child approached the wolf’s cage to feed him a pretzel. The little girl has had eight surgeries to repair damage to her arm, but thankfully escaped with her life. Keeping wild animals as pets creates incredibly dangerous situations—for humans as well as the animals.
