China’s Grandview Aquarium, housed in a shopping mall, reportedly keeps beluga whales, wolves, bears, and walruses in environments that are far too small and often entirely lacking in enrichment features. Drawing particular attention is “the saddest polar bear in the world,” who remains captive so that visitors may take photos.
