In 2015, Born Free USA coordinated the relocation of 28 cockatiels to The Oasis Sanctuary in southern Arizona. The birds had been living at a home in Michigan, but the owner realized she would no longer be able to care for her birds due to health concerns. In late May, the birds arrived at their new forever home, where they have settled in beautifully. We thank the volunteers and The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), whose time and financial support made this project possible.
