Update (January 2012): This bill has been withdrawn from consideration by the Senate. We will continue to advocate for its reintroduction.

Bill description: SB 1002 would prohibit the possession, sale, trade, or distribution of shark fins in Florida. The bill would also provide up to a $15,000 fine per violation.[teaserbreak]
